Beykent University was established as a not-forprofit organization by The Adem Çelik – Beykent Education Foundation and began its educational programs in the 1997 – 1998 academic year. Since hen Beykent University has grown its facilities for teaching, learning and research on to three separate campuses. Today it has 10 Faculties, 4 Higher Education Colleges, 2 Institutes, 3 Research centres, The Continuing Education & Career Centre and the Distance Education Centre. The University has a total population of 29,000 students, 900 of which are international. A high quality learning experience is offered to students with 72 Associate Degree Programmes, 69 Undergraduate Programmes and over 50 Postgraduate Programmes.

Beykent University Urban Studies Application and Research Center

The objectives and fields of the Urban Studies Implementation and Research Center require an interdisciplinary cooperation and also coincide with the fields of activity of Architecture, Interior Architecture, Civil Engineering and Sociology departments in Beykent University. To achieve this objective, the Urban Studies Implementation and Research Center conducts researches and projects in every field, especially social, economical, cultural and spatial subjects, from the past to the present day related to the urban problems at home and abroad, organizes national and international conferences, seminars, symposiums, workshops and scientific meetings on urban problems.
