After graduating from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Architecture in 1983, worked in private sector, both at offices and with construction companies. Her interest in the subject of sustainability and environment continues with researches at this field.She represented the Chamber of Architects of Turkey (CAT) at the Board of Turkish Green Building Association (ÇEDBİK) in 2008‐2010. Worked towards expanding green awareness within the construction sector. She attended the courses of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment) guides. She participated in translating BREEAM Commercial Europe Guide to Turkish (2011). The same year she became BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) Assessor. She is now instructor at the MSFAU , giving lessons in ”Environmental Consciousness in Architectural Design”. She teaches the courses ”Sustainable Design” , ”Environmental Control” and ”Ecological Approaches to Architectural Design” at Istanbul Okan University since 2015. She also teaches Building Energy Identity (EKB) at Continuous Professional Education Center of CAT, since 2012.
