Nuri Cihan Kayaçetin graduated from the Middle East Technical University (METU), Department of Architecture in 2006. He received his master’s degree in 2009 from the Building Science at METU with his thesis on knowledge management in architectural offices. Kayaçetin participated in competitions from 2010, after founding Atölye4 Architecture with his partners in 2012, he was awarded first prize in National Architectural Project Competition for Hatay Provincial Directorate of Administration Office Building. Besides professional work, Dr. Kayaçetin has conducted his ph.D. on sustainability and environmental life cycle of built environment in neighbourhood scale. Since 2015, he has been coordinating international projects on energy efficiency in buildings in Turkey. His current expertise includes life cycle assessment of built environment and transportation and assessment of embodied and operational carbon, energy audits and energy efficient retrofits of buildings, building typologies and building stock analysis and nZEB definition in Europe and Turkey.
